Hello to our website guests and all who have paid a visit to Comfort Falls!
There is GREAT NEWS for the Texas Hill Country in the form of abundant and much needed RAIN this spring! The Guadalupe River is showing off - running perfectly for canoes and kayaks! Plus Cougar Creek has its many waterfalls busy being beautiful!
The fishing is fabulous! Our windows have been open for weeks as barbeque and swimming weather has already arrived! Ahh – this is a great place to call home!
We have enjoyed many lovely guests this spring looking for home sites. From Connecticut to California and all points between, people are drawn to the beauty and lifestyle of the Texas Hill Country.
Progressive Farmer recognized Kendall County as #5 in the Top Ten Best Places To Live in Rural America for 2006 and #1 in the Southwest & Western Regions of Best Places to Live in Rural America for 2006! Go to the January Update page for a link!
Though Comfort Falls is located on one of the most beautiful rural roads in the hill country, the ladies will enjoy convenient shopping at La Cantera and the men at The Bass Pro Shop, both off I-10 at exit 555 (we are at exit 527)
As many of you know, we have been waiting for approval of our CCN from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for the public water system. We have recently learned from Aqua Texas that this approval is still about 4 months away. Government lines do not grow shorter in Texas! (but I am told this is better than California’s much longer wait!) * Other News - On May 16th the survey crews were at Comfort Falls planning the trenching of FM 1621 for fiber optic to arrive soon.
We will email (by date of visit) those on our contact list when approval time is closer to take reservations. Meanwhile, if you have not put your name on a lot or two, you are welcome to visit and do so.
Please note our home sites are available only to licensed pilots. Other helpful information on our website includes an Amenities Summary, DRAFT of the Deed Restrictions, Architectural Guidelines and Airport Regs.
Helpful summary info: Homes are 2300 sq. ft – 6,000 sq. ft. each with private hangar. All 43 home sites have access to 4500 foot paved runway via 3 runway entries. (There are no hangarhome sites.) You can click on the plat to enlarge and see lot acreages and accessways. Our altitude here is 1477 ft. (dry and pleasant!)
If you have not already been to Comfort Falls - come visit our kids and grandkids magnet - they will always want to be home or with the "Grands"! Here fabulous entertainment is free, on-site and running good since the rains have returned! Add a golf cart, BBQ, lawn chair and your favorite airplane for a simply amazing lifestyle.
