Old Number 9 Railroad Bridge over Guadalupe River

"Just over the valley and thru the woods!"

Hands down antique heaven! Men take a chair and your wallet.

Fredericksburg is a famous tourist destination. The Museum of the Pacific War is located near the western edge of the historic Main Street. Within this museum is the Admiral Nimitz Museum. Pilot’s and their families should not miss these great displays of aircraft and other memorabilia.

Fredericksburg is lined with shops, museums and restaurants. Some eateries you might enjoy include The Cotton Gin, Catfish Haven, Hondo’s (great fireplace plus a wonderful outside eating area) and there are numerous German establishments on the Main Street.

Fredericksburg is located only about 20 beautiful, mountainous miles from Comfort Falls Aviation Estates. It is one of our favorites. There is more than one way to get there — the quick way up 87 or the very delightful Old Number 9 which winds its way through the hills and vales. Watch for bikers! Visit their website.

If you fly into Fredericksburg Airport you will enjoy staying at the famous Hangar Hotel.
